The steamers Alamo and Louisiana have just brought sick and wounded soldiers from Santiago de Cuba North. I read in the papers that instead of using these transports to bring more of our brave men to the North, the vessels have been ordered to Newport News to take Gen. Grant's command to Puerto Rico.

Culver.
