LATE NEWS FROM ASPINWALL.
Date: 21 April 1855
Arrival of the Steamship Star of the South. The steamship Star of the South, Capt. MARKS, left New-York on her outward trip for Aspinwall, on the 16th of March, with freight for San Francisco, via Panama Railroad. Arrived at Aspinwall on the 26th, and the goods placed on steamship Golden Gate, and reached San Francisco in 26 days from New-York.

That is as much of a fact, for Frenchmen, as the assertion, for a Turk, that MAHOMET was a veritable prophet. There is no use in denying what the French appear to take a pride in.
