THE CALIFORNIA MAILS.; Arrival of the Georgia and Uncle Sam. $2,500,000 IN GOLD. NEWS FROM THE ISTHMUS.

The steamships Georgia and Uncle Sam arrived at this port yesterday, from Aspinwall. The Georgia brings the California mails and specie of the 1st inst. The dates from California are no later than we have already received.

The steamship Isabel has arrived from Havana and Key West, 22d inst. She brings no news of importance. The Captain-General was still on his tour.

We have dates from Galveston to the 15th inst. The Mayor of Galveston has authorized a vote of the citizens to be taken respecting the propriety of allowing a railroad to pass through the suburbs of that city.
